L&T Submits the lowest bid for Makkah’s Substation

Indian based Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) Company has submitted the lowest bid for the Construction of Mina East 380/110/13.8kV Substation.

The Location of the Substation is in Makkah area, Western region of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A total of six (6) EPC companies submitted their proposal. L&T submitted the lowest price of SAR 90.99 million (1$=3.75 SAR)

Project Description:

Project Scope of work includes 110kV Gas Insulated Switchgear, 50/67 MVA Power Transformers, 13.8kV Switchgear, 7MVAr Capacitor Banks, protection & Control System, Substation Automation System, Telecommunication System and associated auxiliaries.

The BSP shall be equipped with IEC 61850 standards based technically and economically optimized Substation Automation System (SAS).

Substation will be built as 110kV/13.8kV in first stage and designed to have 380kV equipment for future.

Future  provision of Substation will be consist of 380 kV GIS having breaker and half configuration comprising of Six (6) diameters, provision for Three (3) 380/110/13.8 kV 502 MVA (ONAN/ONAF1/ONAF2) auto-transformers.

Total Project Completion time is 24 moths.

Saudi Electricity Company will be the end user of the project. Contractor will execute the works on Lump sum Turnkey Basis for the design, engineering, material procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, and all associated work and services until final handing over of Substation.
