Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) received the bidders proposals for the project “Construction of 230kV Overhead Transmission line (OHTL) for Jafurah Gas Plant”.
The Joint Venture of Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd. of India and Bin Omairah Contracting Co. Ltd. of Saudi Arabia has submitted the lowest bid.
The JV submitted the price of SAR 116,872,202 (USD 31,165,920)
The location of the project is in eastern region of Saudi Arabia. The tender was initially issued by SEC during February 2020 (read more)
Jafurah Gas Plant 230 kV OHTL:
This project has divided in to three portion:
Portion 1:
Scope of Work for the Portion 1 of the project involves, design and construction of two (2) 230kV OHTL from HMYM-3 GCP Substation to HMYM-4 GCP Substation.
Approximate OHTL route length is 13.86 km.
Portion 2:
Scope of Work for the Portion 2 of the project involves, design and construction of two (2) 230kV OHTL from Jafurah Gas Plant Substation to HZEM-1 GCP Substation.
Approximate OHTL route length is 99.73 km.
Portion 3:
Scope of Work for the Portion 3 of the project involves, design and construction of two (2) 230kV OHTL from Jafurah Gas Plant Substation to HMYM-3 GCP Substation.
Approximate OHTL route length is 52.07 km.
Once the project completed, Jafurah Gas Plant’s substation will be connected to the national grid network.
The project consist of using 2-795 kcmil ACSR/AW CONDOR conductor per phase and two (2) OPGW along the length of the new line.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new OHTL work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor need to complete the project activities within 29 months from the date of contract award.
