Saudi Arabia signed the contract for Schools PPP Project

The Ministry of Education, Saudi Arabia signed the first group project contract with Tatweer Buildings Co. for  Wave 1 Schools Public-Private Partnership (PPP)  Project.

The Project includes financing, designing, building, and managing the facilities of 60 public schools in Makkah and Jeddah.

As per the statement, the project will accommodate more than 50,000 students, as a part of the partnership program with the private sector.

Tatweer Buildings presented the conditions and specifications brochure for the second group (wave 2) in Madinah, the ministry clarified. As part of Wave 2, 60 public schools will be constructed.

It also indicated that the partnership projects with the private sector falls in line with the construction, maintenance, transformation, and raising the educational facilities’ efficiency in accordance with international best practices.

The project’s construction phase is 3 years, to be followed by 20 years of maintenance provided by the developer.
