ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC Power System Projects, PSP announces the award of Jawharat Al Aros 110/13.8 kV Substation in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This milestone project is the first in the Kingdom to feature Siemens SF6-free Gas-Insulated Switchgear (Blue GIS)—an environmentally friendly technology that replaces fluorinated gases like SF6 with clean air, reducing environmental impact.
This award marks the third substation project entrusted to ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC PSP by National Grid SA, following Riyadh 110/13.8 kV Substation recently awarded and Naqua 110/33/13.8 kV Substation, awarded at the end of 2024.
The company stated that, with these projects, we continue to reinforce our role in strengthening Saudi Arabia’s energy infrastructure. Our comprehensive EPC scope covers design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring seamless execution and operational excellence. This achievement reflects the dedication of our resilient team, whose expertise and commitment drive our expansion in the substation sector, and the trust of our valued clients in our capabilities. As we contribute to Vision 2030, we remain committed to delivering innovative, sustainable, and future-ready power solutions, contributing to the future of Saudi Arabia’s energy landscape.
