Assystem Radicon announces that it has signed a contract with Shanghai Electric Group regarding the provision of Design and Detail Engineering Services for Sadawi Round 5 Solar PV Independent Power Plant (IPP).
Assystem Radicon’s scope includes design and engineering services for two substations on the project site, the overhead transmission lines linking these substations to the BSP substation for the national grid, and the modifications to the BSP substation.
Earlier in April 2025, Shanghai Electric Group has signed a cooperation agreement for a 2GW Al Sadawi Solar photovoltaic project with MASDAR. (read more)
Al Sadawi Solar Photovoltaic Project, which is part of Round 5 of the National Renewable Energy Program (NREP), will deliver a total capacity of 2,000 MW.
The project is scheduled to achieve commercial operation in Q2 2027.
