Qatar awards $65 million Road Works Contract

The Public Works Authority (PWA) ‘Ashghal’, Qatar awards the contract related to Construction of Link Roads from Mazrooah to Attoriya and Bu-Thaila Zone – 71 & 72.

The Project was awarded to Al Mohannadi for Roads and Trading and Contracting. The value of the contract is QAR 237 million (65.1 million USD).

The P114 & EDS1845 project consists of the construction of Roads and Infrastructures for two main roads within Zones 71 & 72, which tie-in to the Orbital Highway on the south side. The site can be reached from Umm Al Afaii exit at Dukhan Highway and driving about 15.5 Km north on Orbital Highway. The first road called Al Maslaba Road extends east to west from Junction 18 near Al Majd highway to Al Otouriya – Al Jemailya Roundabout, while the second has a north-south orientation from Bu Thaila Roundabout to Al Majd highway, including crossing Junction 18. The two roads total length is about 21 km. The Project is located within the jurisdiction of Umm Slal Municipality and Al Shahhaniya Municipality.

The duration of the project is 1096 days.
