STEAG announces in a statement that it has been selected for Technical Engineering Advisory Services for the expansion of the PP12 Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Power Plant at DURMA.
The Project will be located approximately 150 kilometers northwest of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The project, with a tentative capacity of 1,863 MW, is being led by the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) to strengthen the Kingdom’s power generation capabilities. The project adopts 7H-class gas turbine combined cycle technology.

The power plant, when completed, contributing to Saudi Arabia’s ambitious plans to expand its power generation capacity by 6 gigawatts (GW) annually over the next five years. This development aligns with the country’s Vision 2030 plan, which aims to diversify its economy and reduce its dependence on oil through significant investments in infrastructure and energy projects.
