Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) announce that its subsidiary, Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), has made a landmark discovery at the Jazah offshore field, achieving the highest vertical well production in Kuwait’s history from the Maqwa formation — over 29 million cubic feet/day of gas and 5,000+ barrels/day of condensates.
This milestone reflects the success of KOC’s offshore exploration strategy and supports the KPC 2040 vision to enhance energy security and drive sustainable growth.
With low CO₂ emissions and no associated water, Jazah sets a new benchmark for environmentally responsible production, the company stated.
Earlier, during January 2025, Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) announced a major hydrocarbon discovery at Al-Jlaiaa offshore field within Kuwaiti territorial waters.(read more)
