Energy China JV consist of CPECC Intl, ECEPDI and HPCC awarded the EPC Contract for the development of the 600MW Samtah Solar PV Power Project in Saudi Arabia.
The Project was awarded by Developers Consortium, EDF power solutions and Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).
Earlier, the Developers signed the Power Purchase Agreement with Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC). (read more)
The Project is located in the Jazan Province, in the southwest part of the country. Once operational, in the last quarter of 2027, the 600 MW Samtah Solar Power Project will supply renewable electricity to more than 100,000 homes each year and is expected to avoid over 1.1 million tons of carbon-dioxide emissions annually.
