SPETCO awarded Budour Tayseer Gas Project from PDO

Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) has entered into a landmark 15-year agreement with SPETCO Middle East LLC to develop the Budour Tayseer Gas Project (BTGP), reinforcing the Sultanate’s long-term energy security and supporting its growing gas demand.

The Budour Tayseer Gas Project forms a core part of PDO’s growth programme and is designed to ensure a steady and reliable supply of gas to the nation. Once operational, BTGP will deliver 2 MMSm³/day of sweet gas, 950 m³/day of condensate, and 80 tonnes/day of sulphur pellets, significantly contributing to PDO’s production commitments and enhancing recovery from the Budour and Tayseer fields.

Developed under a DBOOM (Design, Build, Own, Operate & Maintain) framework, the project is a strategic step toward reinforcing Oman’s energy infrastructure and maximizing in-country value through employment and local sourcing.
