ILF Consulting Engineers in the United Arab Emirates has announced that it has been awarded the Abu Dhabi Water Transmission System Masterplan Development Project, a strategic initiative aimed at securing the emirate’s potable water supply through to the year 2050.
The project focuses on conducting a comprehensive review of the existing water transmission network to assess its ability to meet projected future demand. It will also define the infrastructure upgrades and enhancements required to ensure a reliable, resilient, and continuous water supply for the long term.
The scope of work is divided into two key stages. Stage One includes extensive data collection and technical analysis of the current transmission system, while Stage Two will focus on the development of a detailed master plan to guide future investments and network optimization.
