The Ministry of Electricity & Water & Renewable Energy (MEWRE), Kuwait, has awarded a major contract for the construction, completion, maintenance, and development of the existing and new Doha Water Distribution Complex, along with associated works.
The total value of the contract is KWD 97.39 million, and it has been awarded to United Gulf Construction Company W.L.L
The project scope includes the development of a new pump station designed to significantly enhance Kuwait’s water infrastructure capacity. Upon completion, the project will increase water storage capacity by approximately 130 million imperial gallons and boost pumping capacity to 220 million imperial gallons per day. This upgrade will ensure a reliable and uninterrupted water supply to residential areas, particularly during peak summer months and periods of high consumption.
According to the Ministry’s implementation plan, the project is scheduled for completion within 60 months. Once operational, it is expected to play a vital role in strengthening water security and supporting sustainable urban development in Kuwait.
