McDermott International, Ltd. has reaffirmed its role as a trusted partner to ADNOC following the announcement of the Final Investment Decision (FID) for the SARB Deep Gas Development Project, a strategic initiative within the Ghasha Concession offshore Abu Dhabi.
McDermott will apply its extensive engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) expertise to support ADNOC’s objectives of advancing energy security while ensuring safe and sustainable development.
The SARB Gas Development Project is designed to deliver up to 200 million standard cubic feet per day (scfd) of gas by the end of the decade—sufficient to meet the daily energy needs of more than 300,000 homes. The project reflects ADNOC’s commitment to responsibly unlocking Abu Dhabi’s energy resources through innovation and efficiency.
Located approximately 120 kilometres offshore, the development includes a new offshore platform with four gas production wells connected to Das Island, where production will be integrated into ADNOC Gas facilities for upstream processing. The project will embed advanced digital technologies and artificial intelligence and will be remotely operated from Arzanah Island, leveraging existing infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Through this collaboration, McDermott and ADNOC continue to strengthen their partnership in delivering world-class energy projects that support long-term sustainability and growth.
