UAE’s NMDC Group PJSC has announced that it has been awarded a significant contract by the Department of Municipalities & Transport (DMT) for the execution of dredging and reclamation works in the Rabdan area of Abu Dhabi.
The project covers a comprehensive scope of work, including dredging and land reclamation, ground improvement activities, environmental works, and the demolition of the existing quay wall. In addition, the contract includes the construction of stormwater pipeline works, reinforcing the project’s role in supporting critical infrastructure development in the emirate.
Valued at approximately AED 157 million, the contract highlights NMDC Group’s continued contribution to Abu Dhabi’s urban development and coastal infrastructure enhancement. The company will leverage its technical expertise, advanced equipment, and strong project management capabilities to ensure timely and efficient execution in line with the highest environmental and safety standards.
The project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of the current year. Upon completion, it will support the development objectives of the Rabdan area, enhancing land use efficiency and infrastructure resilience.
This contract further strengthens NMDC Group PJSC’s position as a leading provider of integrated marine and infrastructure solutions in the region.
