WSP has been appointed to lead the Detailed Master Plan (DMP) for the transformative mixed-use development surrounding the historic Jebel Ali Racecourse, an iconic destination envisioned by A.R.M. Holding in the heart of Dubai. The project represents a major milestone in reimagining urban living while celebrating one of the city’s most significant heritage assets.
Covering more than 5 million square metres, the development will integrate a diverse mix of residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, and leisure components. At its core, approximately 1.5 million square metres of landscaped parkland will create a vibrant green spine, ensuring the historic Jebel Ali Racecourse is preserved and seamlessly woven into the broader urban fabric.
WSP’s comprehensive scope includes Urban Design and Master Planning, Transport and Mobility, Wet and Dry Utilities Infrastructure, Sustainability, LEED and Environmental Impact services, Fire and Life Safety Strategy, Geotechnical and Risk Assessments, as well as Security and Acoustics.
Building on a successful collaboration with BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group during the Concept Master Plan phase, WSP now leads the delivery of a future-ready DMP aligned with Dubai’s long-term urban vision. The project exemplifies integrated collaboration across Advisory, Transport & Infrastructure, and Property & Buildings, reinforcing WSP’s commitment to creating sustainable, people-centric communities for generations to come.
