Oman Hazardous Waste Disposal Center Project Commences Construction

The Oman Industrial Hazardous Waste Treatment Facility (IWTF), a landmark environmental infrastructure project, has officially entered its construction phase, marking a major milestone in enhancing industrial waste management capabilities in the Middle East.

Constructed by Yade Environmental Protection, the IWTF is located in the Sohar Free Zone and represents Oman’s first fully integrated hazardous waste disposal center. With construction now underway, the project moves from planning towards execution, demonstrating strong international cooperation and technological expertise in sustainable waste solutions.

Once completed, the IWTF will significantly strengthen the region’s ability to manage complex industrial waste in an environmentally compliant and efficient manner. Designed in line with top global standards and equipped with advanced systems for non-hazardous processing, its facilities are expected to serve as a new benchmark for environmentally responsible industrial operations.

Project leadership and on-site personnel have emphasized a commitment to construction safety, quality management, and strict adherence to international project delivery standards, ensuring timely and high-quality development.

This project underscores the growing emphasis on sustainable industrial infrastructure and environmental protection across the Gulf region and highlights the expanding role of Chinese engineering firms in global environmental projects.
