Saudi’s MGC Signs Contract for Second Main Sewage Line Project in Makkah

Mutlaq Al-Ghowairi Contracting Company (MGC) has announced the signing of a new contract for the design and implementation of the Second Main Sewage Line Project in collaboration with the National Water Company (NWC).

The project aims to enhance and expand the capacity of the sewage network by transferring wastewater from Mina to the treatment plant in Arana.

Located in the Makkah region, the project will serve key areas including Mina, Al Aziziyah District, and the New Awali District. It forms part of broader infrastructure development efforts to improve the efficiency and sustainability of wastewater services across the Kingdom.

The initiative is expected to significantly strengthen the sewage network, ensuring reliable service during peak seasons while supporting environmental sustainability objectives. By upgrading essential infrastructure, the project will contribute to improved public health standards and enhanced quality of life for residents and visitors.
