Weatherford International has announced the award of several major contracts across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as part of its Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2025 results, reinforcing its strong market position in the Middle East.
In Oman, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) awarded Weatherford a five-year contract to deliver Well Services for the Qarn Alam and South fields, while Oxy granted a seven-year contract for gas-lift completions and flow-control accessories. In Kuwait, Kuwait Oil Company selected Weatherford for a five-year contract to provide completion services, further expanding its long-standing presence in the country.
Weatherford also secured a three-year contract from Turnwell Industries LLC to provide Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) services for an unconventional gas lump sum turnkey project in the United Arab Emirates. In Bahrain, BAPCO Upstream awarded the company a five-year contract for directional drilling and logging-while-drilling services.
Demonstrating technological leadership, Weatherford successfully deployed its SineWave™ Image Tool in the UAE with a competitor’s bottom hole assembly, delivering high-quality imaging in challenging conditions and securing follow-on work that increased market share in a new field.
Financially, fourth-quarter 2025 Middle East, North Africa, and Asia revenue reached $556 million, reflecting sequential growth driven by higher completions and artificial lift activity. Full-year 2025 regional revenue stood at $2.12 billion, remaining largely stable year-on-year despite mixed activity levels across product lines.
