Oman’s Abraj Energy Services SAOG has announced the signing of new contracts with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) for the provision of four onshore drilling rigs to support operations in Block 6.
Under the agreement, Abraj will supply and operate the drilling rigs as part of Petroleum Development Oman’s ongoing upstream development activities. The contracts are expected to commence in the first quarter of 2027, supporting PDO’s continued efforts to enhance production and operational efficiency in the block.
Each contract carries a primary firm duration of six years, with the combined agreements expected to generate approximately OMR 120 million in total revenue. To execute the scope of work, Abraj Energy Services will deploy rigs from its existing fleet, leveraging its operational capabilities and experience in delivering drilling services across Oman.
The new contracts further strengthen Abraj Energy Services’ position as a key oilfield services provider in the Sultanate and underscore its long-standing partnership with Petroleum Development Oman in supporting the country’s energy sector.
