ILF Awarded Feasibility Study for Jordan’s Green Infrastructure

ILF Consulting Engineers has been awarded the feasibility study for 𝗝𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗻’𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 (𝗖𝗨𝗜), with a masterplan‑level focus on water, ammonia, and port infrastructure in and around Aqaba.

The assignment builds on the recommendations of the previous phase and follows a Cabinet decision informed by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources-Jordan (MEMR).

At feasibility level, ILF will develop and assess routing concepts for the common infrastructure and carry out an integrated assessment of water supply and treatment, ammonia production and handling, and the port interfaces required to enable future export. The study will address capacity envelopes, site options, and phased development pathways to support timely and scalable  implementation.

The engagement is underpinned by a strong, multidisciplinary team. The international law firm Addleshaw Goddard will lead the legal and commercial advisory, including regulatory, institutional, and delivery‑model considerations. High‑level stakeholder consultations will be led by Roland Kaeppner, former Managing Director of the 𝗡𝗘𝗢𝗠 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, bringing extensive global green hydrogen (GH2) development experience and further strengthening the team’s credentials.
