India-based KEC International has announced the award of new Transmission and Distribution (T&D) orders worth ₹1,476 crore across several international markets, including a major power transmission project in Saudi Arabia.
The company said the orders include a large composite transmission project in Saudi Arabia, involving the construction of 380kV transmission lines along with associated substations and extra-high-voltage cabling works. The project marks the largest composite T&D order secured by KEC International in the Kingdom.
Apart from the Saudi contract, the new orders also include 132kV transmission line projects in Africa, as well as the supply of towers, hardware, and poles for transmission projects in India and the Americas.
Commenting on the development, Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director and CEO of KEC International, said the company is pleased with the new order wins across international markets, particularly the large transmission project in Saudi Arabia which further strengthens its presence in the Middle East power infrastructure sector.
He added that the continued inflow of orders reflects the company’s strong execution capabilities and its established track record in delivering large-scale power transmission projects globally.
KEC International, part of the RPG Group, is a global engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company with operations in more than 100 countries. The company delivers infrastructure projects across power transmission and distribution, civil construction, transportation, renewable energy, oil and gas pipelines, and cables.
The latest contract award highlights the continued investments in electricity transmission infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, driven by rising power demand and the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its energy network as part of long-term development initiatives.
