Tecnimont S.p.A. Awarded $1.3 Billion EPC Contract for Petrochemical Project

MAIRE S.p.A. has announced that its subsidiary, Tecnimont S.p.A., has secured a major Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for the development of a new petrochemical project. The contract, valued at approximately USD 1.3 billion, covers the full execution of the project including engineering, procurement, and construction activities.

Under the scope of the agreement, Tecnimont will be responsible for the realization of a hydrocarbon processing plant, along with the development of its associated utilities and offsite facilities. The project is part of broader efforts to expand petrochemical production capacity and strengthen downstream industrial infrastructure.

The EPC contract highlights Tecnimont’s continued expertise in delivering large-scale energy and petrochemical projects globally. The company will leverage its extensive engineering capabilities and project management experience to ensure efficient execution of the development.

According to the announcement, the project is scheduled to be completed by 2031. Once operational, the facility is expected to play a significant role in supporting the petrochemical sector and meeting growing market demand for hydrocarbon-based products.

The award further strengthens MAIRE’s position as a leading global technology and engineering group in the energy transition and petrochemical industries.
