HanmiGlobal, a global construction project management (PM) company, announced that it has signed a Strategic Alliance Agreement (SAA) with Naver Cloud to jointly participate in overseas data center projects.
This agreement was pursued to jointly respond to bids for global data centers, including those in Saudi Arabia.
Under the agreement, HanmiGlobal will be responsible for consulting on data center design and construction, reviewing practical aspects of project management related to schedules and costs, and will provide services for local permits and project execution in Saudi Arabia.
Naver Cloud will take on the role of reviewing the technological direction and strategy for data centers, cloud, and AI infrastructure, and designing business structures and service models that meet global standards.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to establish a long-term cooperative framework, including developing proposal strategies and dividing responsibilities for joint participation in new overseas data center construction projects.
Since entering the Middle East in 2007, HanmiGlobal has successfully completed over 50 projects to date. The company has been continuously providing construction management services for major projects such as an 87-story super-tall residence in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, the ‘Green Riyadh’ urban regeneration project, and the infrastructure construction for the Abdullah New City smart city project in Kuwait.
Naver Cloud is Korea’s largest cloud service provider, overseeing Naver’s IT infrastructure and B2B business. It operates data centers such as ‘GAK Sejong’ based on its hyperscale AI capabilities. HanmiGlobal holds the most extensive track record in data center PM among domestic companies, having participated in the construction projects for Naver’s data centers ‘GAK Chuncheon’ and ‘GAK Sejong’.
