Qatar’s UCC Holding Led Consortium and Siemens Energy signed two manufacturing slot reservation agreements with Siemens Energy.
The agreements cover the supply of combined-cycle power packages for the Zayzoun and Deir Azzour power plant projects in Syria, each with a planned capacity of approximately 1,000 MW, securing dedicated manufacturing capacity for critical long-lead components, including advanced gas turbines and associated systems.
This milestone reflects growing international confidence in Syria’s economic recovery trajectory and marks an important step toward strengthening national power generation capacity and supporting long-term infrastructure-led growth, the company stated.
Earlier, Qatar’s UCC Holding Led Consortium Signs Agreement for 5,000 MW Power Plants in Syria. The agreement was signed through its subsidiary Urbacon Concessions Investment, and in partnership with Kalyon G.I.S. Energy, Cengiz Energy, and Power International (USA). (read more)
