Oman signed a deal of $75 million for the pipeline contract

Global firm, Petrofac has secured procurement services contract for the Mabrouk North East Pipe Line Project.

The project has been awarded by the Petroleum Development Oman (PDO). As per the Petrofac statement, it’s a third project under a 10-year framework agreement between the two companies.

The Signed contract value is $75 million. Earlier, during 2017, Petrofac signed an agreement with PDO to provide Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) Support Services for PDO’s major oil and gas projects.

Project Scope of work includes management of pipe line material from sourcing, technical, commercial evaluation, planning and control services with management.

Project Scope of work also includes co-ordination of interfaces with all parties. Total duration of the project is 19 months.

Earlier during February 2019, Oman signed the deal with international firms, Shell and Total in partnership with Oman Oil Company to develop the Greater Barik area in the Mabrouk field in northern Oman.

PDO is owned by the government of the Oman with 60% shares while the remaining shares are distributed by the Dutch Shell with 34%, the French Total with 4% and the Portuguese Partex Oil with 2%.
