Developer finalized the contractor for Saudi Arabia’s 400MW Wind Project

Saudi Arabia’s first wind project developers (consortium of France’s EDF Energies Nouvelles and Abu Dhabi’s Masdar) has finalised the contractors.

The 400 MW, Wind Project will be constructed in Dumat Al Jandal area of Al Jouf Province, which is located around 900 km from capital city, Riyadh.

As per the sources, Vestas will be supply & install the wind turbines, TSK from Spain will be Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor for the balance of Plant and Belgium’s Crompton Greaves will be responsible for the electrical substations (132kV).

Earlier, during January 2019, Saudi Arabia awarded its first wind Power Plant project to the developers. The value of contract is $ 500 million.

EDF Renewables will have the share of 51 percent of the project while Masdar owns the remaining 49 percent.
