Archirodon secures an order of $489 million for ADNOC’s Onshore Project

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) issued a statement that, its subsidiary ADNOC Onshore, has awarded contract for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to Upgrade its Giant Bab Onshore Field, one of its largest onshore producing assets.

The project has been awarded to Greece based company, Archirodon Construction Overseas SA Co (Archirodon).

The value of signed contract is AED1.8 billion ($489 million).

The project location is 160 kilometers southwest of Abu Dhabi city.

The scope of the Bab field upgrade project includes the development of oil producing wells, water injection wells, artificial lift wells, well-bays, let down stations, water injection clusters and other infrastructure required to sustain the production capacity of the field.

As per the terms of the contract, Archirodon will start building the facilities and infrastructure required to sustain long-term crude oil production capacity of the field at 485,000 barrels per day (bpd).

Contractor need to complete the project activities in 39 months.
