Abu Dhabi’s NMDC awarded $22m dredging contract in Egypt

Abu Dhabi-based National Marine Dredging Company (NMDC) announced in a statement that it has been awarded a contract for dredging works at the entrance to the navigation channel and the trench of the quay wall in Safaga Port in Egypt.

The value of the contract is AED 79 million (USD 22 million).

The project is expected to be executed over 8 months.

Earlier during July 2021, Bardawil project has been awarded to NMDC’s joint venture in Egypt, the Challenge Egyptian Emirates Co., The project has a total value of approximately AED150 million. (read more)
