Bahrain issued tender for Widening of Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Highway

Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, Bahrain issued a tender for the project “Widening of Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Highway and Jasrah Interchange Upgrade Phase 2”.

Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Highway (SIBSH) widening scheme would be done by providing additional lanes (two or more) to the existing three-lane dual carriageway with possible service roads.

The project will be part of AMAS Access Improvement – Package 4.

The project scope of work also includes upgrading the Stormwater network by providing open channels, close systems, two lifting stations.

The bid specifications calls for improving the safety measures with the highway by replacing the existing crash barriers with high contentment concrete ones.

The SIBSH has two future left Turn Flyovers; Janabiya Highway to SIBSH and second SIBSH to Avenue 64.

As per the notification, interested bidders, who meets the PQ requirements can purchase the bid package by paying nonrefundable bid fee of BHD 100.

The Ministry sets the bid submission date as 26 April 2020. The bidder need to submit 2 to 5% of project value as the bid security.

The project is funding by Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.
