Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project “Construction of Abu Arish-2 132/13.8 kV Substation”.
Abu Arish-2 132/13.8 kV Substation:
The project scope of work includes the following major material:
- 13.8kV Switchgear
- 750kVA, 13.8kV/400-230V Station Service Transformers
- HV, MV Power Cables and Terminations
- AC/DC Auxiliary Power Supply
- Surge Arresters
- Control/Protection System
- Substation Automation System (SAS)
- Communication System
- Fire Detection/Alarm and Safety and Fire Protection System
- Civil/Structural works and Mechanical works
Project scope of work also includes Installation, testing & commissioning of 132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), 50/67MVA, 132/13.8kV power transformers. The material will be provided by SEC.
Additions/modifications of Protection, Control system at Jazan CPS-2 and Salamah 132kV Substations is also part of the contract.
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new substation work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
Contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 25 months from Contract Signing Date.
