Contractors submits lowest bid of $179.2m for 380kV cable project in Riyadh

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) received bidders proposals for Installation of 380kV Underground cable associated with Substation 9097.

Saudi based construction firm, Bin Omairah Contracting Company submitted the lowest bid of SAR 423.4 million for the 380kV cable of route length 38.8km.

The Scope of work includes complete design, supply and installation of two(2) 380kV cable circuits consisting of 2500 Sq.mm copper conductor, super clean-XLPE cables circuits with all required joining terminations, accessories.

In another bid, Saudi based construction firm, Mohammed Al Ojaimi for contracting establishment submitted the lowest bid of SAR 248.7 million for the 380kV cable of route length 22.5km.

The Scope of work includes complete design, supply and installation of two(2) 380kV cable circuits consisting of 2500 Sq.mm copper conductor, super clean-XLPE cables circuits with all required joining terminations, accessories.

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new cable work in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

Contractors needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 25 months from Contract Signing Date.
