ASAMCO secures $3.7 million contract for Madinah Solar PV OHTL Project

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project  “Integration of Madinah Solar PV Power Plant, OHTL Portion”. The Project location will be in Madinah, Western region of Saudi Arabia.

The project has been awarded to Saudi based construction Company,  AL-SALEH & MASSOUD CO. FOR TRADING & CONTRACTING (ASAMCO).

The value of signed contract is SAR 14,001,112 (1$=3.75 SAR).

The Overhead line Transmission line is made to interconnect the proposed Renewal Energy (Solar PV) Power Plant in the Al Madinah Province, approximately 26 km from Madinah city.

The Planned Capacity of the Solar Power Plant is 50MW. The bid results for Madinah’s Solar Power Plant already announced by REPDO.

Madinah Solar PV Overhead Transmission line:

Project involves Design and Construction of new 110kV Double Circuit (D/C) Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL), from Terminal Compound at Madinah PV Substation to Tie in Point of SEC network.

The approximate route length of OHTL is 3.1km.

Project Scope of work also includes Design, supply, testing, commissioning and installation of two (2) 110kV Underground cable circuits, Single cable/phase, consisting of o 1200 Sq.mm , Cu conductor, super clean-XLPE, Cu metallic sheath cable complete with all other accessories, from the Substation of Madinah Solar PV Power Plant to Terminal Compound. 
 
The length of each circuit shall be approximately 1.2 km. 
 
The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new OHTL works in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.
