JAL International secures $13.8 million order for substation expansion

Saudi Electricity Company awarded the project “Reinforcement of Muhayil north 132/33kV and Oukdud 132/13.8kV Substation”. The project locations are near to Jazan, Southern region of Saudi Arabia.

The project has been awarded to Saudi based construction company, JAL International. The value of signed contract is SAR 52 million.

Project scope of work includes 132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear expansion, 133MVA, 67 MVA Power transformers, 33kV Switchgear, 13.8kV Switchgear, Protection, Control System, SCADA System, Telecommunication System,  Auxiliary Power Supply, existing equipment relocation, civil works and Electro-Mechanical Works.

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning.

As per the terms of contract, contractor needs to achieve the final acceptance of the works by 23 months from Contract Signing Date.
