Oman awarded $25 million 400kV Manah Substation

Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) awarded the project for construction of new 400kV Manah Grid station with associated Overhead transmission line.

The Project has been awarded to Joint Venture of Trade Links & Services (TLS) / Civil Contracting Co. (CIVILCO) LLC, Oman based construction firms.

The value of signed contract is $25 million.

The project scope of work includes end-to-end Engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) bays, including four incomers from Manah Solar IPP and associated substation automation and relay panels.

This switching station evacuates renewable energy generated up to 1000 MW. The substation will be built on the latest grid technology & infrastructure design to integrate with the rapidly transforming national grid seamlessly.

Project aims to deliver on Oman’s commitment to increase renewable energy generation to 10% before 2025.
