Oman awarded $65.8 million 400kV Substation project

Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) awarded the project for construction of new 400kV/132kV Al Jefnen Substation with associated Overhead transmission line.

The project has been awarded to Oman based construction firm, Oman National Engineering & Investment Company SAOG (ONEIC).

The value of signed contract is OMR 25,316,274.200 (1 OMR = 2.60078 USD).

As part of the scope of works, the contractor will construct 400/132kV Grid Station on Engineering, Procurement and construction basis.

Project scope of work also includes installation of two numbers 500MVA, 220/132kV Power Transformers at Misfah Substation.

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation works in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

The project completion period is 26 months from the date of award.
