Linxon submits the lowest bid of $11.3million for 230kV Substation expansion

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announces the bid results for the project  “Expansion of 230kV Ghazal Substation”.

Five bidders has submitted the proposals. Global firm, Linxon ( joint venture company set up by SNC-Lavalin and ABB), submitted the lowest bid.

Linxon submitted the price of SAR 42,532,547 (USD 11,342,012).

Project scope of work involves the 230kV GIS expansion, 230kV Busduct, 230kV Cables, 230kV Outdoor equipment to be installed  at the existing 230kV Ghazal Substation in eastern region of Saudi Arabia.

It also includes protection, control, communication system additions/modifications.

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of substation works in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

Contractor need to achieve the final acceptance of the work within 20 months from the date of contract signed.
