SPECOIII announces the successful handover of Az-Zour Phase III Power Plant

SEPCOIII, the EPC of the Az-Zour South Phase-III Combined-Cycle Power Plant in Kuwait announced in a statement that, it has officially obtained its project handover certificate from the Ministry of Electricity & Water (MEW), Kuwait, marking the successful completion of the project.

Az-Zour South Phase-III Power Plant Capacity is 260 megawatts. The power plant project is an extension of the Az-Zour South Single-Cycle Power Station.

The Project is located about 120 kilometers south of Kuwait city.

The electricity produced by the power plant project is mainly being used for the construction of Kuwait city and the development of its oil and gas resources.

SEPCOIII awarded the project during 2016 and it became the first Chinese company to enter the EPC market for Kuwait’s power stations.

Steam turbines for the project was supplied by Siemens.
