Tamear awarded $160m Housing contract in Saudi Arabia

The Real Estate Construction Company, “Tamear”, wholly owned by Saudi Real Estate Company (Al Akaria) announced in a statement that it has awarded construction of housing units contract in Riyadh.

The Project was awarded by National Housing Company (NHC), Saudi Arabia.

The value of the contract is approximately SAR 600million (USD 160 million).

As part of the contract, Tamear will construct 1000 housing units in Al Mashreqiya project located in Riyadh.

Earlier, NHC stated that the first phase of construction comprises of 450 housing units, and the second phase will have 550 housing units.

Launched under the Saudi housing ministry’s Sakani programmme to provide houses to citizens, the Al-Mashriqiya project is spread over an area of more than 3 million square kilometres and will feature a total of 3,701 units on completion.

The project also includes 207 commercial-cum-residential buildings, 16 commercial buildings, 2 mosques, 3 schools and 8 public parks.
