PA Cost Submits lowest bid of $13.8million for Urairah 115/13.8kV Substation

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announces the bid results for the project  “Construction of 115/13.8KV Urairah Substation & Connection”

The Project locations will be in Urairah, Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi based Construction Company,  PA Cost International, a subsidiary of ORA Holding Group has submitted the lowest bid.

PA Cost submitted the price of SAR 51,890,000 (USD 13,837,333).

115/13.8kV Substation, Urairah:

Project involves the construction a new indoor 115/13.8kV Gas Insulated Substation in Urairah with the following major equipment

  • 115kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS)
  • 50/67 MVA, 115/13.8kV Power Transformers – Supplied by SEC
  • 13.8 Switchgear
  • 13.8kV Shunt Capacitor Filter Bank
  • 500kVA, 13.8kV/400V-230V Station Service Transformers
  • Advance Metering Infrastructure (AMI) System
  • HV/MV Power Cables and Terminations,
  • AC/DC Auxiliary Power Supply,
  • Surge Arresters
  • Control/Protection System,
  • Substation Automation System (SAS)
  • Communication System
  • Fire Detection/Alarm and Safety and Fire Protection System
  • Civil/Structural works and Mechanical works
  • Security System
  • Retrofitting of Overhead Transmission line (OHTL)

The Contractor shall perform on Lump sum turnkey basis, the design, engineering, materials procurement, quality management, factory inspection/testing, transport and delivery to site, installation, construction, site inspection, testing and commissioning, all associated work and services until final handing over of new substation works in a satisfactorily working and operating condition.

Contractor need to achieve the final acceptance of the work within 27 months from the awarded date of contract.
