Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) received the bidders proposals for construction works of the Cargo Express Village (Phase 1-A) at Bahrain International Airport (BIA).
Fourteen Bidders has submitted the proposals. Saudi based construction firm, Absal Paul Contracting Company has submitted the lowest bid.
Absal Paul Contracting Company has submitted the price of BHD 11.7 million (USD 31.3 million).

The Project Scope of Works comprise the Construction, Completion, Testing and Commissioning & Handing over of:
Landside Works:
- Landside access road from Al Rayya highway
- Car Parking
- Security guard house (CEV entrance)
- Two (2) Power Substations
- Zone A warehouses:
o Warehouse 1: FedEx Warehouse (around 5,000 m2) and its associated fit-out works.
o Common processing facility Warehouse 2 (around 2,500 m2) core & shell.
o Warehouse 3 (around 2,500 m2), core & shell.
o Warehouse 4 (around 2,500 m2), core & shell.
Central Utilities Works:
- Water Tanks and Pumping station
- Necessary utilities required to operate the airside & landside of the CEV
Airside Works:
- Airside Security Wall with associated works
- Emergency Gate
- Airside roads & yard
