Following are the major projects awarded during the month of April 2021 across gulf countries. The projects covers the Renewable energy, Power, Water, Construction, Petrochemical and Oil & Gas Sectors.

Saudi Arabia signed Power Purchase Agreement for 2,970MW Solar PV Projects

Saudi Arabia announces the Signing of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for seven Solar PV Projects of total capacity 2,970MW.

The projects are located in Al Madinah, Sudair, Qurayyat, Shuaibah, Jeddah, Rabigh, and Rafha. (read more)

ACC awarded contract to build first 300 villas on Abu Dhabi’s Jubail Island

Abu Dhabi based Jubail Island Investment Company announced in a statement that it has awarded the  construction contract for the first phase of 300 villas located within the 5 billion UAE dirhams ($1.4 billion) Jubail Island development.

The Project has been awarded to Arabian Construction Company (ACC). (read more)

Kuwait awarded contract of $15.5 million for 300kV Cables Project

Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW), Kuwait awarded the project “Supply and Installation of 300kV Underground Cables to connect the FRRD’W’ and SDIQ’W’ substations”.

ACWA Power led consortium signed $906.6m Sudair Solar PV Project

The Public Investment Fund (PIF), Saudi Arabia announced in a statement regarding the signing a power purchase agreement (PPA) of Sudair Solar PV Plant, with the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC).

The projects investment value is approximately SAR 3.4 billion ($906.6 million). (read more)

L&T awarded EPC contract of Sudair Solar PV Project

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Renewables announced in a statement that it has awarded a turnkey EPC Contract for Sudair Solar PV Project of 1.5GW capacity.

The Project was awarded by consortium led by ACWA Power and the Water and Electricity Holding Company (a subsidiary of the Public Investments Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF). (read more)

Saudi Aramco announced in a statement that it has signed a deal with a consortium led by EIG Global Energy Partners (EIG), one of the world’s leading energy infrastructure investors, to optimize its assets through a lease-and-lease-back agreement involving its stabilized crude oil pipeline network. Masdar led consortium signs 300 MW Jeddah Solar PV Project in Saudi Arabia

The consortium led by Masdar (Abu Dhabi), EDF Renewables (France) and NESMA Company (Saudi Arabia) announced in a statement that it has reached financial close on a 300 megawatt (MW) utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) solar power plant in Jeddah and is starting construction.

The Project will be located in Third Jeddah Industrial City, 50km south-east of Jeddah, western region of Saudi Arabia. (read more)

Penspen awarded construction contract for 51 ADNOC onshore wells

Global Oil & Gas firm, Penspen announced in a statement that it has awarded the procurement and construction of flowlines and wellhead installations for 51 wells in ADNOC Onshore’s oilfields at Shah, Qusahwira and Mender in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

AGIC Saudi Arabia awards $500m Contract to Maire Tecnimont

Maire Tecnimont S.p.A., Italy announced in a statement that its subsidiaries Tecnimont S.p.A. and Tecnimont Arabia Limited have been awarded by Advanced Global Investment Company (AGIC), Saudi Arabia for the EPC of Integrated PDH-PP complex project, relating to the realization of two Polypropylene Units.

Samsung Engineering, South Korea announced in a statement that it was awarded an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by Advanced Global Investment Company (AGIC), Saudi Arabia for PDH (Propane Dehydration) plant and associated UTOS (Utilities & Offsites) facilities

China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Power Engineering Co.,ltd ,a subsidiary of Energy China announced in a statement that it has awarded EPC contract of Rabigh Solar PV IPP. The Plant capacity is 300MW.

Saipem awarded $350m additional work within North Field Project Qatar

Global energy firm, Saipem announced in a statement that it has received by Qatargas the confirmation of the exercise of two options for additional scope of work within the North Field Production Sustainability Offshore Project (EPC package), the award of which was announced earlier in beginning of 2021.

Abengoa awarded transmission works contract in Abu Dhabi

Abengoa, Spain announced in a statement that through its Transmission and Infrastructure vertical and specifically through its company Abengoa Inabensa, has been awarded a series of works for Transco, the company responsible for power transmission in the emirate of Abu Dhabi (Abu Dhabi Transmission & Despatch Company).
