Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) awarded the project, Installation of STATCOM at Sharorah 380kV Substation in Sharorah, Saudi Arabia.
The Project has been awarded to Saudi based construction firm, Al Gihaz Contracting Company
The value of the contract is SAR 140.9 million (USD 37.5million).
Project scope of work includes, Installation of one (1) No of +300 MVAR (Capacitive) and -300 MVAR (Inductive) 132kV DRPC comprising of VSC only at Sharorah 380kV Substation in Souther region of Saudi Arabia.
Installation of DRPC Transformers, Reactors, Resistors, VSC Controller, Cooling System, Switchgear, Auxiliary System, SAS, Protection, Control and all other requirements are part of the project.
Project completion period is 29 months.
