Firms Signs Agreement for Locally manufactured Solar PV Panels for Al-Khushaybi PV Project

Sponsored by the Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy, and as part of the efforts by the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) and Nabah Renewable Energy Company- jointly owned by ACWA Power, PIF subsidiary ‘Badeel’, and Saudi Aramco Power Company (SAPCO), a Solar PV Purchase agreement was signed among the firms Larsen & Toubro, Jinko Solar and Neway Energy (NPT).

The agreement aims to install 20% of the locally manufactured PV panels for Al-Khushaybi Project. The agreement further Promote localization & local content in the renewable energy sector and Empower national manufacturers & ensure sustainable supply chain.

Earlier during June 2024, Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) signed Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) for three new solar photovoltaic projects including Al-Khushaybi Project.

The Project is located in Qassim Province, central region of Saudi Arabia. Once commissioned, the plant will have a total capacity of 1,500 MW.
