Penspen announces that it has been awarded the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) scope for pipelines and piping systems to support a major greenfield NGL fractionation project in the UAE, being developed by a leading national oil company through an EPC contractor.
The new facility will process up to 23,000 tonnes per day of natural gas liquids (NGL), representing a key milestone in the nation’s downstream expansion strategy and reinforcing the UAE’s position as a regional energy hub.
Project scope includes nine pipelines and twelve piping systems, spanning core engineering disciplines such as Process, Piping, Pipeline, Civil, and Structural.
Upon completion, FEED and cost estimates for the EPC phase will be submitted to the end client for review, followed by the selection of a final contractor for project execution.
Penspen’s expertise in pipeline engineering plays a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of this project, enabling the new fractionation train to become fully operational by Q3 2028. This advancement supports the UAE’s commitment to long-term energy security, reinforcing its position as a global leader in energy production, statement mentioned.
