Elsewedy Electric PSP and GE Vernova Signs Agreement for the first Synchronous Condenser Plants in the Middle East

Elsewedy Electric Power Systems Projects (Elsewedy Electric PSP) announce the signing of a key supply agreement with GE Vernova for the first Synchronous Condenser Plants in the Middle East—a major step toward enhancing grid stability and supporting the energy transition in the region.

Elsewedy Electric PSP will take the lead on the engineering, construction, and installation of synchronous condenser plants and their auxiliary systems. Fully integrated into the 380 kV transmission network, the project scope includes all civil, electrical, mechanical, protection and control works required for seamless operation.

The Company stated that, this milestone reflects our commitment to delivering future-ready infrastructure and leveraging world-class partnerships to meet evolving energy needs. With GE Vernova as the OEM partner, this agreement brings advanced synchronous condenser technology to one of the most strategic energy markets in the world.
