Qatar awards $1.12 billion O&M Framework Contracts

The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’, Qatar awards Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Framework Contract.

The combined value of the contracts is QAR 4.09 billion (USD 1.02 billion). The contracts awarded to following companies:

Operations and Maintenance of Qatar north Catchment Zone :

The Operations and Maintenance of Qatar north Catchment Zone Project was awarded to “Aguas De Valencia S.A – Aguas De Valencia Joint Venture”. The value of the contract is QAR 1.4 billion.

Operations and Maintenance of Qatar West Catchment Zone:

The Operations and Maintenance of Qatar West Catchment Zone Project was awarded to “MACE Qatar Contracting and Engineering Company – SUEZ International SAS joint Venture”. The value of the contract is QAR 1.02 billion.

Operations and Maintenance of Qatar South Catchment Zone  

The Operations and Maintenance of Qatar South Catchment Zone Project was awarded to “Saur SAS – Power Waste Contracting and Engineering Services JV (SMAP WATER).”. The value of the contract is QAR 1.67 billion.

Ashghal  earlier announces that, through the Catchment Zone Framework Contract, Ashghal will assign a number of contractors who will carry out operation and maintenance, repair, replacement and rehabilitation works across Qatar, through the division of works on three specified catchment zones across Qatar (North, West and South).

The Drainage Network Operations and Maintenance Framework Contract scope of work includes all pumping stations and Sewage treatment plants in Ashghal and its associated sewage, surface, ground and treated water networks in each zone, thus ensuring the implementation of high quality solutions at reasonable prices.

The framework Contract also include all operations and maintenance works, as well as scheduled preventative and interactive maintenance works and repair, replacement and rehabilitation works for all drainage assets.
