ORION, Italy announces a milestone that redefines the limits of industrial manufacturing, the completion of a 114-inch Wedge Gate Valve, weighing over 120 tons.
The valve was engineered for the Amiral petrochemical complex in Jubail by Saudi Aramco and TotalEnergies Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP).
This unit, now moving toward Guinness World Records recognition, demonstrates the highest level of technical precision, advanced machining cycles, and rigorous testing to the strictest international standards, company stated.
This achievement reflects ORION’s unwavering commitment to Saudi Arabia’s iktva Aramco program and vision2030, driving localization, innovation, and industrial excellence in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, statement mentioned.
Amiral Project is a future world-scale petrochemicals facility expansion at the SATORP refinery in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Integrated with the existing SATORP refinery in Jubail, the new complex aims to house one of the largest mixed-load steam crackers in the Gulf, with a capacity to produce 1,650 kilotons per annum of ethylene and other industrial gases.
