Hassan Allam Construction Awarded 200 MW of Solar Power with 120 MWh BESS Project

Hassan Allam Holding announces that its subsidiary, Hassan Allam Construction, has been awarded the construction of Benban Solar Plant, developed by Hassan Allam Utilities’ Energy Platform in partnership with EBRD, Meridiam, and Infinity Power Holding.

Hassan Allam Construction will deliver the Benban Solar Plant, a state-of-the-art energy hub combining 200 MW of solar power with 120 MWh of advanced battery storage. Scope covers the full engineering, procurement, and construction, including grid connections and supporting systems, all meticulously designed to ensure operational excellence by the second half 2026.

This renewable energy project is pivotal to Egypt’s national energy strategy, helping achieve 42% of its energy mix from renewables by 2030 and 65% by 2040, while reinforcing the country’s position as a regional leader in clean energy.

This milestone reflects the strong confidence of international partners in Egypt’s energy program. Today, over 50% of Hassan Allam Utilities’ portfolio is represented by foreign investors, underscoring the Group’s key role in enabling global partners to collaborate alongside strong local champions in strategic sectors, while employing skilled Egyptian talent and facilitating industry knowledge transfer to local companies, statement mentioned.
