Synergy Consulting, Inc. announces its role as Lead Financial and Commercial Advisor to Oman Power and Water Procurement Company SAOC (PWP) for the successful procurement of approximately 2.4 GW of Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) capacity across two major Independent Power Projects — Misfah IPP and Duqm IPP.
These strategic projects are set to significantly enhance Oman’s energy security and generation reliability. The procurement process marked a departure from PWP’s previous tenders, featuring accelerated development timelines, advance reservation of gas turbines by PWP, and the early execution of initial civil works to ensure timely delivery.
The projects have been awarded to a consortium comprising Nebras Power Q.P.S.C., Korea Western Power Co. Ltd., Etihad Water and Electricity PJSC, and Bahwan Infrastructure Services LLC. The signing ceremony was successfully completed on 22 January 2026.
