ADNOC Gas plc has announced the signing of a long-term natural gas supply agreement with ADNOC to support the development of the TA’ZIZ Methanol production facility in Al Ruwais City.
Under the agreement, ADNOC Gas will supply natural gas feedstock to the upcoming methanol plant for a period of 25 years. Gas deliveries are scheduled to commence in 2029, aligned with the commissioning of the methanol facilities. The contract is estimated to be valued at more than $5 billion, subject to final terms and operational conditions.
The agreement plays a key role in advancing the UAE’s first methanol production facility, which will be located within the TA’ZIZ Industrial Chemicals Zone in Al Ruwais. By ensuring a reliable and long-term supply of natural gas feedstock, the deal supports the project’s operational stability and contributes to the broader development of the country’s downstream and petrochemical sector.
The TA’ZIZ Methanol project is part of ADNOC’s strategy to expand its chemicals portfolio and drive industrial growth in the UAE. The facility is expected to strengthen local manufacturing capabilities while enhancing the country’s position as a regional hub for chemicals production.
This long-term agreement underscores ADNOC Gas’ role in delivering critical energy infrastructure and feedstock supply, supporting major industrial projects and reinforcing the UAE’s economic diversification goals.
